Thank you for putting your trust in O.L.G.A. Fertility! For those of you who are planning your treatment in Cyprus we would like to share some tips to make your stay more pleasant. We are really looking forward to welcoming you at the clinic in Limassol, Cyprus!
1. There are several airports in Cyprus (Larnaca, Paphos) but we recommend using Larnaca airport since it's the biggest one and closest to the clinic. We will arrange for you an airport transfer from Larnaca airport to your chosen accomodation in Limassol.
2. We hope you will enjoy your stay and combine treatment with having some leisure and fun. There will be a detailed schedule of your visits to the clinic during your stay which you will receive closer to the dates, the rest of the time — enjoy sunny weather, beautiful sea and picturesque villages.
3. The clinic is located in Limassol. The clinic is able to fully serve the needs of our patients and provide the high level of care according to our standards.
4. Cyprus is a beautiful island with unique natural treasures and cultural heritage. To enjoy it in full we propose that you stay in the Limassol area — either by sea or at the mountains — and rent a car to be able to explore it. Clinic is situated in the centre of Limassol so from any part of the area there is no more than 20 min drive to the clinic. There is a parking lot right in front of the clinic. Municipal transportation is underdeveloped in Cyprus so having a rented car or using a taxi will be the best solution. You also can stay at the city centre if you wish to live within walking distance from the clinic but I would say that the surrounding area is not as attractive as the sea shore or mountains.
5. There is a variety of nice hotels in the Limassol area but also many lovely properties listed on Airbnb if you wish more private accommodation. You can ask us for the recommendations of a hotel, we will be glad to share some advice.
6. Car rentals have affordable prices and nice cars. In Cyprus, they drive on the left-hand side of the road like in the UK and overtake on the right. The roads are generally very good, even in rural areas.
7. Cyprus electric plug sockets are type G, the same as in the UK. The standard voltage is 240V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz, so all appliances that operate with a voltage requirement of 220-240V can be safely used in Cyprus. Just make sure that you have socket adaptors.
