After having miscarriages and failed IVF in the UK, at my age, 44, we were told that the best way forward to have the child we so dearly wanted was through donor eggs. Unfortunately, in the UK there is a three year waiting list and time was not on our side.
One day I was investigating the success rate of egg donation on the internet and happened to come across a clinic in St. Petersburg. We sent an enquiry explaining our predicament and were delighted to receive a prompt response from Dr. Zaytseff inviting us to attend a consultation. At our first visit to the clinic in May 2008, we were immediately impressed with Dr. Zaytseff and knew that we wanted to proceed with the procedure. It also gave us the opportunity to see the city which is extremely beautiful and rich with history. We followed the Doctor's advice to the full and returned in July 2008 for embryo donation. Throughout, everything was organised, professional and a relaxed experience which left us feeling more confident than ever before.
After a relatively trouble free pregnancy, our beautiful, healthy and happy baby girl was born in April 2009. Every morning when I look into the cot, I cannot believe how lucky we have been. We are eternally indebted to Dr. Zaytseff and her colleagues, without whose help I am not sure this would ever have been possible.
