Some IVF clinics copy our services, texts, presentations and arrange seminars in the same locations. Please be attentive to which seminar you register and which clinic you land in. Dr. Olga Zaytseff and her team runs own clinic O.L.G.A. in St. Petersburg and does not work for any other clinics. Lectures at our seminars are personally done by Dr. Olga Zaytseff

Egg donor programs at O.L.G.A. Fertility Clinic

Egg donation is not the method of choice — it is the method of exclusion

After 3 IVF in Sweden, 3 miscarriages, Elisabet and Pär became parents of lovely Ester through egg donation in St. Petersburg

Our egg donor programs

At O.L.G.A. Fertility Clinic, we offer high quality egg donor programs: all the donors are attractive, fertile, young ladies who have passed our medical and other tests regaled by Russian law. Most women in need of donated eggs to get pregnant have faced difficulties in finding a suitable egg donor. Many people don’t have a sister or an acquaintance who has ability and will to go through the egg donation procedure on their behalf.

Finding your own egg donorfemale egg donor child

Egg donation is a process that demands much physical and psychological input of endurance from the donor. She must be ready to go through a number of IVF treatment procedures up to and including the stage where some of her eggs are collected. She must accept the idea that, if successful, the treatment will result in the birth of a baby carrying her genes. She should also be ready to the possibility of failure of that treatment. Finding such a person is not easy.

Sometimes sisters or friends offer to donate their eggs, though not everyone is able to commit to the time and accept steps that egg donation programs involve. And even then, you may not want to accept the offer, for example if the person who wants to be your donor does not look like you. It is a highly individual issue, yet the would-be donor may be offended if you reject her offer. There may also be some medical reasons that affect the decision if a person should not become an egg donor. For instance, many hospitals do not accept egg donors who are over weigth, or who are too old for the treatment to have a high chance of success. The potential egg donor may feel under pressure to donate, and we are familiar with many cases where an offer to donate is then retracted when the donor becomes more aware of what is expected of her, or if she has second thoughts. For the woman or couple who have entrusted their chance of having a child to this egg donor, such a refusal can be depressing.

Shortage of egg donors

Unfortunately, finding an egg donor via a clinic or hospital may also be not an easy task. Many European countries now have legislation prohibiting anonymous egg donation. Since this laws came into force, the number of women who want to donate their eggs to help childless couples has fallen considerably. In such countries as Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Norway and Austria, egg donation is actually forbidden. In the Netherlands, many clinics do not perform the treatment if egg donors are under the age of 30, or those who have not completed their own family, while egg recipients accepted must be no older than 45. Even in countries which have more tolerant laws, such as the UK, the retraction of anonymity led to stretching of waiting lists for egg donation to several years. The possibility of simply finding an egg donor, and especially the one who fits your requirements, is often a very difficult task.

The O.L.G.A. Fertility Clinic Donor Bank

To overcome the shortage of egg donors, O.L.G.A. Fertility Clinic has set up egg donor programs: a ‘bank’ of healthy, attractive, young women and fertility treatment services. All our donors have their fertility proven, by having at least one child of their own. They have passed overall medical and psychological test, and are ready to start the procedure as soon as they are chosen. Thanks to these ladies, O.L.G.A. Fertility Clinic has no waiting list for egg donation. Find out more about our recruitment and screening process for egg donors.
