My name is Cathrine and I am a 45 year old woman from Oslo, Norway.
To start, I just want to say that I wanted to be a mom for twenty years and I always thought that by the time I would turn 45 I would have the perfect husband and at least two or three kids. However, the life is not easy to plan on. There I was: 44 years old and with no kids. So I did what a lot of other Norwegians do when they are in my situation — we call Denmark.
I did and I started the process there. However, I didn't have any attempts in Denmark because when I was doing some research on my own I found out about this Russian clinic that, I have to say, I was a little scared of because Russia seems very far away. They were holding a seminar in Oslo and I signed on and attended it. I think it was October 2018.
I have to say it was a really good seminar, very informative. They really seemed to know what they were talking about and the medical expertise seemed extremely high. But what triggered me was that everything was done and told with compassion. They saw you as an individual and knew the struggle that you were having and that was really important to me.
So I signed with the clinic. I just wanted everything to happen really quickly because I had been waiting for twenty years and I didn't want to wait one more extra minute. I did all my exams and I sent all my medical journals to doctor Elena and we started the process. They really wanted to help me as soon as they could. It actually took me three trials before I got my little son who is two months old now and I couldn't be happier.
I want to give you a little hint. When you are in Saint Petersburg, which is a gorgeous city, so it will be the experience of a lifetime and a memory for the rest of your life, get to know the people in the waiting room because they are in the same situation as you are.
I have now several friends and I really mean that. I keep in touch with some of them on a regular basis, every day actually. We have been seeing each other, travelling throughout Scandinavia to meet each other. I think that it is great that my son will have friends who he can grow up with and who have the same background as him. He can talk to them when he maybe has questions that he doesn't want to ask me. And trust the doctors and the nurses. You will get your own doctor, your own nurse and your own coordinator, so you will always have people who know your case and who know who you are. I am extremely happy and grateful for the work that they have done.
Dr. Olga, Dr. Elena, Dr. Alena, my coordinator Alla and my nurse Katya will be forever in my heart. I can’t wait to take my son to Saint Petersburg and to show him where he was actually made:)
Good luck to you, and I hope you will achieve your long way towards your dream. The people at O.L.G.A. clinic can make it happen for you.
I wish you all the best of luck.
Just go for, just do it.
You will never regret anything.
