I am now 47 years old and already have 2 adult children. In recent years, after having 4 miscarriages and wanting to have a child with my partner, I initially underwent fertility treatment with hormones in my hometown - it was unsuccessful. I also underwent 2 inseminations — both negative.
Lastly, we tried an ICSI treatment. After taking expensive hormones, only 2 follicles formed, too few to puncture. So, another insemination was done — no pregnancy resulted.
Through the internet, I learned about a clinic in Russia where they speak German and English, and where the doctor had worked in Germany for a long time. Importantly, "embryo adoption" is allowed there.
I contacted Dr. Zaytseff via email, we corresponded (everything could be clarified via email), and she ultimately informed me that I needed to make 2 visits to St. Petersburg for this embryo adoption. Said and done!
On the first visit, all medical aspects were clarified, and a treatment plan was created — it was all quite simple and straightforward. Dr. Zaytseff is very kind and friendly, speaks very good German. All the staff were very friendly, and I felt comfortable there.
On the second visit, I had 2 embryos implanted, which immediately took root. Unfortunately, one embryo was lost in the 7th week. Thankfully, I was able to keep and carry the second.
Now my son is 8 months old, healthy, a good child, looks cute, is developing wonderfully and brings us all a lot of joy.
Since in Russia women up to 50 are allowed to have artificial insemination, I am already considering trying again just before my 50th birthday to get a sibling for my son...
