Anna Savelyeva

Patient Coordinator

The work that I love

I joined the team of coordinators in 2015. At that time, we worked as an international department of a big fertility clinic and took care of patients coming from other countries, and I, a linguist by my education and a person who mentally linked the future with foreign languages, was glad to have the opportunity to practice both English and French. In addition, the medical environment was close to me: my sister is a pediatrician, and my mother is a senior nurse. Now, years later, I understand that I got much more than I expected: the opportunity to be needed, to feel my professional value and to be part of something completely unique…

Our patients’ treatment process is comparable to a journey that requires great physical and emotional effort. My role as a patient coordinator is to organize this journey from A to Z, help to start it, and then to stay close by providing the support that might be needed.

I try to do my best to make patients feel comfortable and at ease during the entire treatment process: to see in each patient a person, respect the will and thinking of this person, and through this — to understand what this particular person needs in a particular situation, why she is here now, what fears she has and why she insists on something.

Sometimes patients come to us, already having in mind a detailed image of our clinic: they are familiar with one of our specialists or with the uniqueness of our treatment process, or they know about the history of the clinic, or they have heard about our results. And sometimes a patient calls us knowing only the name of the clinic and the phone number. And I hope that my knowledge, professionalism, and ability to provide high-quality information all together help to generate interest and trust in the clinic. It is important for me that after the first meeting with me every person may feel comfort from our communication, understand that she has contacted the clinic which will try to do everything possible to help her.

And last but very important, it is great to see the result of our common work — the long-awaited baby and happy parents.

The O.L.G.A. Fertility Clinic

The O.L.G.A. Clinic is, perhaps, not just a place of work — these are people who are close to me, this is an opportunity to feel your own value in a business that is unique in everything, starting with an idea, continuing with the team and ending with the walls of the clinic. This is a living organism that is constantly growing and developing, but the main thing remains unchanged: we care about how the patient feels during the treatment, how comfortable she is and what the result of the treatment will be. Therefore, competence, professionalism, empathy and a real, heartfelt individual approach are of huge importance to us.

My personal interests

For many years foreign languages have always been my passion: I enjoy looking for interesting information sources, attending language courses, learning from incredible teachers, reading foreign literature.

I also like comfortable physical activities: functional training, stretching, cycling, roller skating. Sometimes it is an opportunity to take care of your body by training your muscles, sometimes it is a way to unwind and relax by changing the type of activity, and sometimes it is a chance to admire the views around without focusing on anything in particular...

Dancing, music, singing, drawing — I practiced all these activities as a child and I still dance with pleasure, I am sensitive to music and even sometimes sing for pleasure or a quick reboot.

And if I have a little more of free time, then I am happy to go to my family country house: this is the place of my absolute tranquility. I like floral ornaments and everything authentic in general: natural, mythical, magical…

My education

2011 — St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, qualification — linguist, translator; specialty — translation and translation studies (higher education).

2011-2013 — sociology and literature, French University College, St. Petersburg.

2013-2014 — French and Francophone Literature, Paris VIII University, France.
