So&nbsp;why do usually women find it so&nbsp;hard to begin the egg donation path even&nbsp;when it becomes the only realistic option for&nbsp;getting pregnant and&nbsp;having a baby?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Because&nbsp;there is always a hope: maybe it would be possible to use my own egg?<\/li>\n<li>Because&nbsp;there is always a grief when&nbsp;closing the door to using own eggs.<\/li>\n<li>Because&nbsp;there are always thousands of overwhelming questions coming simultaneously when&nbsp;you start slowly thinking about the egg donation path: will I love the baby? Will I feel the baby is mine? Will the baby love me? Today Cilla is one of the wisest psychotherapists I know helping single women and&nbsp;couples on&nbsp;their journeys to parenthood.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Cilla:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cGoing to St. Petersburg and&nbsp;making an embryo adoption was not my plan A, nor&nbsp;was it plan B or&nbsp;C or&nbsp;D, but&nbsp;places further down&#8230; Of course, there is a lot of sadness in&nbsp;that. Wasted time and&nbsp;money, damaged body, mismanaged jobs and&nbsp;lost friendships. Things have definitely been sacrificed along the way. But&nbsp;it ended up so&nbsp;well, that&nbsp;it all feels worth it now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">And&nbsp;now, I have the opportunity to help others so&nbsp;that&nbsp;for them it may land as&nbsp;plan B or&nbsp;C&#8230; Do not put yourself in&nbsp;my situation, as&nbsp;I did because&nbsp;of naivety and&nbsp;ignorance! Teaching yourself and&nbsp;those around you about fertility should be as&nbsp;basic as&nbsp;sex education. Thanks to our donors. How amazing is their effort? When&nbsp;after 8 pregnancy losses Sofia came to us in&nbsp;Cyprus in&nbsp;2023, I had so&nbsp;many worries: Is there anything we can do better? can we really help?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Sofia\u2019s hysteroscopy was one of our first HSKs in&nbsp;Cyprus and&nbsp;I was there in&nbsp;the hospital to look after&nbsp;my patients being safe and&nbsp;comfortable.
