However the spermatozoa may be retrieved directly from the testes (TESA &#8211; testicular sperm aspiration) or&nbsp;epididymis <a href=\"\/en\/terminology\/#46\" title=\"MESA - microsurgical epididymal sperm aspiration\">(MESA &#8211; microsurgical epididymal sperm aspiration).<\/a> This procedures are done in&nbsp;our clinic in&nbsp;full anesthesia. Such small surgical operations help to obtain a piece of tissue containing spermatozoa. Even&nbsp;a few spermatozoa are sufficient for&nbsp;the good fertilization result with the help of <a href=\"\/en\/infertility\/icsi\/\">ICSI<\/a> procedure.<\/p>\n<p><b>As&nbsp;soon&nbsp;as&nbsp;fertlization took place, <\/b><b>the embryo quality and&nbsp;pregnancy rates after&nbsp;ICSI\/TESE\/MESE do not differ significantly from those after&nbsp;the usual IVF procedure.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In&nbsp;case of severe non-obstructive <a href=\"\/en\/terminology\/#46\" title=\"oligozoospermia\">oligozoospermia<\/a> and&nbsp;<a href=\"\/en\/terminology\/#9\" title=\"Azoospermia\">azoospermia<\/a> of obstructive and&nbsp;non-obstructive origin, infertility may have genetic causes and&nbsp;can be inherited by the children of male sex or&nbsp;result in&nbsp;genetic disease in&nbsp;offspring.
