She had no IVF experience, but&nbsp;she had a strong history of natural conceptions \u2014 one birth and&nbsp;two terminations, the last in&nbsp;2013. No one, including her doctors in&nbsp;France, suspected that&nbsp;this past would stand between her and&nbsp;her dream.<\/p>\n<p>But&nbsp;as&nbsp;her journey soon revealed, sometimes the heart\u2019s strongest wishes require patience, healing, and&nbsp;the right people by your side.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>A Hopeful Beginning \u2014 and&nbsp;an Unexpected <\/strong><strong>Obstacle<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>At&nbsp;40 years old and&nbsp;with AMH 1,7, Vanessa began her first IVF treatment with OLGA. Her results were encouraging: 8 eggs collected \u2192 3 blastocysts \u2192 2 chromosomally normal embryos after&nbsp;PGTa.<\/p>\n<p>A hysteroscopy in&nbsp;France had shown no issues, but&nbsp;during preparation for&nbsp;the first embryo transfer, the OLGA team detected something concerning. A polyp seen on&nbsp;ultrasound led to a new hysteroscopy at&nbsp;OLGA in&nbsp;July 2019 \u2014 and&nbsp;the problem was uncovered. Inside Vanessa\u2019s uterus, doctors found old pregnancy tissue from a termination eight years earlier, along with significant inflammation. This hidden condition was quietly preventing implantation.<\/p>\n<p>From July to September 2019, Vanessa followed a step-by-step treatment plan designed to restore her uterine health:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Antibiotics, antifungals and&nbsp;probiotics to stop inflammation<\/li>\n<li>Measures to prevent new scar tissue<\/li>\n<li>Endometrial growth factors<\/li>\n<li>Treatments to improve blood circulation<\/li>\n<li>Immune-modulating therapy to calm inflammation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"w40p fr\" src=\"https:\/\/olgafertilityclinic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/birth-a-boy-Louis-19-September-2025-1-rotated-e1763625263669.jpg\" \/>In&nbsp;October and&nbsp;December 2019 Vanessa came for&nbsp;two consequent embryo transfers. Despite good endometrial thickness (9.8 mm and&nbsp;7.6 mm), unfortunately, neither attempt resulted in&nbsp;pregnancy.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>A Second IVF Cycle \u2014 and&nbsp;a Second Chance<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In&nbsp;August 2020, now&nbsp;41 and&nbsp;with a lower AMH of 0.4, Vanessa began her second IVF cycle.This cycle exceeded all expectations: 14 eggs collected \u2192 9 blastocysts \u2192 3 chromosomally normal embryos after&nbsp;PGTa.<\/p>\n<p>Still, the endometrium remained thin and&nbsp;irregular. Therefore, a new hysteroscopy in&nbsp;October 2020 was performed. Itrevealed the reason: hard scar tissue and&nbsp;severe inflammation in&nbsp;the uterine wall.<\/p>\n<p>Another round of healing followed and&nbsp;included antibiotics, antifungal treatment, probiotics, hyaluronidase to prevent adhesions, blood-flow support, and&nbsp;growth factors.<\/p>\n<p>By December 2020, Vanessa\u2019s lining was beautifully restored at&nbsp;9.8 mm.<\/p>\n<p>The third embryo transfer brought a long-awaited positive result.<\/p>\n<p>In&nbsp;November 2021, Vanessa gave birth to her healthy baby boy after&nbsp;a C-section complicated by placenta accreta\u2014another event that&nbsp;carried a risk of scarring and&nbsp;future fertility challenges.<\/p>\n<p>But&nbsp;back then her dream finally came true!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Returning for&nbsp;a Sibling<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In&nbsp;2024, Vanessa returned to OLGA for&nbsp;the second mutual journey towards motherhood.<\/p>\n<p>We started with a hysteroscopy in&nbsp;May.<\/p>\n<p>The hysteroscopy revealed new scar tissue in&nbsp;the uterine fundus and&nbsp;left wall which&nbsp;were removed during the procedure.
