We are a couple who is 31 and 37 years old. We became pregnant and got a son by egg donation treatment. I have Turners syndrom, which means that I don`t produce eggs myself. I have known since I was little that my only chance to become pregnant is by egg donation.<\/p>\n

After searching the internet, we contacted the IVI clinic in Alicante. They responded quickly, and a couple of weeks later we travelled to Alicante for a first visit. We got prescription for the needed hormone medication, and the clinic started the process by searching for a matching donor. After a few weeks they have found a donor for us, and we went back for embryo transfer. That was not successful, and we didn`t become pregnant. To months later we went back to Alicante for another attempt. This time with embryo that has been frozen from the last attempt. That attempt was not successful either.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We were not so happy about the follow up and the process, and decided to try another clinic. After visiting a Norwegian website called “onskebarn ” where many Norwegians recommended the clinic in St. Petersburg, we decided to contact the clinic. They responded quickly, and soon we got a phone call from Dr. Olga Zaytseff who wanted to help us.<\/p>\n

After a little bit of thinking, we decided that we wanted to have another attempt, this time at the St. Petersburg clinic. We sent an email, and said that we wanted an initial consultation. We got an appointment in July 2008. Then there the necessary tests were taken, and we talked about the process, donor matching, and we had the opportunity to ask all the questions we may have.<\/p>\n

A while after the consultation we got an email from Dr. Olga that there was a possible donor for us. We were informed about the donor’s hair and eye colour, weight, height and that she had children on her own. We choose to accept the donor, and me and the donor could start the hormone treatment.<\/p>\n

In September 2009, we went back to St. Petersburg for embryo transfer. We thought that the transfer process was much better than in the other attempts, and the information was better. It was Dr. Olga who was our contact person who did the transfer, which was positive for us. At the IVI clinic we never knew who we would meet.<\/p>\n

Two days later we went back to Norway, and we were told to take a pregnancy test two weeks after the transfer. This time it was positive, and we were of course very happy. The pregnancy went well, like a normal pregnancy.<\/p>\n

In may 2009 we got a little boy, and we are very happy that we chose to go through the egg donation process, we are very happy about Dr. Olga and the clinic. We have frozen embryos at the clinic, and we will come back to St. Petersburg some other time to try to give our son a brother or sister.<\/p>\n
