Sending a text to you about\u00a0our\u00a0journey. For many years my husband and I have tried to start\u00a0our\u00a0family. We tried many avenues and were unsuccessful in every single\u00a0one. We were optimistic and hopeful for many months and years but every month it would come time to test, and every month\u00a0our\u00a0hearts broke.<\/p>\n We was slowly broken down month\u00a0after\u00a0month and year\u00a0after\u00a0year of longing. In the end, there was only\u00a0one\u00a0empty shell trying to survive between the treatments and the tests.<\/p>\n In August 2018 we finally found Dr. Olga’s seminar in Gothenburg. They gave us hope for\u00a0our\u00a0own family, they made us whole and made us feel good. We were able to laugh again and feel joy, there was a hope. You gave us hope of a miracle.<\/p>\n Find out more about our webinars<\/a><\/p>\n In February 2019, we went to St. Petersburg for the\u00a0first\u00a0time filled with life, hope and expectation. At the\u00a0first\u00a0egg\u00a0donation<\/a> attempt, we finally managed to get pregnant and on November 5,\u00a0our\u00a0much-awaited son Kian came to the world.<\/p>\n Thanks to Dr. Olga, Dr. Elena, embryologist Svetlana,\u00a0our\u00a0own coordinator Alla, nurse Katia, psychologist Tatiana, Anna Macarova and everyone else in the whole team, you all together have made us whole.<\/p>\n From the beginning\u00a0our\u00a0hearts hurt that we can’t physically create “our” child. But love makes a family, not genetics. We looked\u00a0after\u00a0matched hair color, studies and health but in the end, a child was more important than all these similarities. So thank you,\u00a0our\u00a0donor for your reason that you decided to give us the miracle of life.<\/p>\n Once again a loving thank you to everyone for giving us a gift of life, of promise, of hope, of family.<\/p>\n We wish we had found your\u00a0clinic\u00a0much earlier but the wait has been worth the\u00a0result. Although the\u00a0eggs\u00a0were not ours, we see how life in the womb has influenced similarities with me as his mother as studies says, he is really like me in many ways.<\/p>\n The words seem so small, so simple, so commonplace.
