Visa-free travel

If you are traveling for initial consultation, for sperm cryopreservation or embryo transfer (within programmes with frozen donor eggs or frozen donor embryos, you can come to St.Petersburg by ferry and stay up to 72 hours without visa.

Here how it goes: every second day a ferry named Princess Maria departs from Helsinki (Finland) and arrives St.Petersburg early morning next day. You can see schedule for current season here and book your ticket online.
You can fly to Helsinki from numerous cities of the world (please check flights from your nearest airport at Helsinki Vantaa Airport website) and it is so easy within the EU!

Some low cost carriers have Helsinki as destination point. From the airport you can take a bus or taxi to the city center or to Terminal.

Departure of Princess Maria from Helsinki is at 19:00, the check in is open from 17:15.

At the ferry you can spend a romantic evening with a dinner in one of the restaurants, visit sauna or cinema, drink some beer or champagne in one of the bars and take sunbath on one of the decks. Prepare yourself for a relaxing travel!
At about 9:00 next day (local time) you arrive to St.Petersburg. We will be glad to offer you a transfer service directly to the clinic with an English-speaking driver. Alternatively you can take a shuttle bus to the city center (Route Nr4) and walk to the clinic (7-10 min).

We will accommodate your visit to your departure the same day or in 2 days (check in for the ferry starts at 15:00). As our clinic is located in the heart of St.Petersburg, there are lost of hotels/hostels and flats available for every budget close to the clinic.

Within 1 day it is possible to perform initial consultation, all required tests for both partners and sperm cryopreservation.
More about Visa Free Rule you can read at website of the ferry company.

In case your stay is over 3 days or you prefer to fly to St.Petersburg, you definitely need a Russian visa.
There are 2 types of visa that we can assist you with: tourist and business visa.

You may order Russian tourist visa at any tourist agency in Europe. It is convenient to let an agency organize your visa, flight and hotel.

You can book a hotel room directly and ask your hotel for visa support letter. This is a document confirming your stay is arranged. Only hotels and travel agencies may issue such kind of visa support. Tourist visa is valid for a single trip only, and you need a new visa every time you travel to St.Petersburg.

Depending on your country of residence the requirements of the embassy can differ.

For business visa from an EU country please ask our patient coordinators for your free invitation. This is only possible once you know dates of your travel. We will provide you with a document in Russian confirming your visit to our company. An invitation can be for 1 or 2 visits. Unfortunately some embassies require original invitations only (not scanned-printed). We are ready to send you an original, but delivery per post may take up to 8 weeks.

With your tourist visa support letter or business visa invitation you apply for visa at the Russian Embassy or ask a travel agency for assistance.

In some countries (London, UK and Berlin, Germany for example) a visa can be done within 24 hours for a double fee.

Please take care of the visa support not later than 1 month before appointment at our clinic to have enough time to get the visa.
It takes Russian embassies usually 5-14 working days to issue a visa.

If you have any questions on this process please feel free to contact our patient coordinators, who are always glad to help.

We will be glad to assist you in making your visit to St.Petersburg a vacation!
