This shortage has got even worse in the last few years since many countries have passed laws to forbid ‘anonymous’ egg donation. Because of the removal of donor anonymity in these countries, many sperm and egg donors have decided not to offer their services anymore. In Russia, anonymous egg donation is still permitted, and donors may also be compensated properly for their time and effort. We therefore have no shortage of donors at O.L.G.A.
