In 2013 together with IDEAS (International Egg Donor Agency St. Petersburg) we introduced a new service providing our patients with an opportunity to choose their egg donor themselves from a detailed Egg Donor Database. This database contains more than 150 details about each donor, including photos of them while under the age of 10. All donors from this Database have had recent tests performed and are ready to start with stimulation at your convenience. This programme provides a guarantee of at least 10 eggs (via a back-up with frozen eggs).
Throughout the years which followed, we kept receiving requests from women all over the world who were dreaming about the opportunity to choose their egg donor themselves on the basis of detailed information, including photos.

It includes more than 150 details about each donor including photos of them while under the age of 10. Egg donation is anonymous in Russia, which is why no adult photos may be shown. However, we have all the adult photos available and are able to look in them in order to help you in discussing your donor options.
Special emphasis while inviting the Egg Donors to participate in IDEAS Data Base has been put on participants’ abilities and talents, including their educational, sporting and professional achievements.
Also in the Data Base you receive no less than 100 options to choose from. All donors on this IDEAS database have had recent tests performed and are ready to start with stimulation at your convenience.

Do you want to choose your egg donor yourself or would you like us to match you with an egg donor? The answer to this question is not as simple as it may sound. It depends on your personality, character, values and preferences. The table below may help you understand which approach is best for you. It shows the psychological differences in two approaches to the process of choosing your egg donor.
There are no definite advantages and disadvantages to either approach, because what one person may consider an advantage another person may consider a disadvantage. For example, do you consider having as much information as possible about your donor an advantage or disadvantage?

If you would like to choose your egg donor yourself and would prefer to visit us for the Initial Consultation, you will receive your personal free 7-day unbiding access to the full IDEAS Database and your medical Treatment Plan from your O.L.G.A. Fertility Clinic doctor at the consultation.
If you would like to choose your egg donor yourself and prefer to visit us only once (without an Initial Consultation) within our Shared Care Scheme, you will have a phone interview with our doctor. Then you receive your personal free 7-day unbinding access to the full IDEAS Database.
After you have chosen one or several candidates, please e-mail to your doctor their ID numbers and your preferable timing to visit St. Petersburg. We confirm availability of your chosen donor within the chosen timing and send you your individual treatment plan. Your Treatment plan will be created so that it fits in the timing convenient for you. We will need contact details of your local consultant* who is ready to guide you through the treatment process together with us.
If you need a professional advice during the process of choosing the right donor, your O.L.G.A. Fertility Clinic Doctor will explain the medical/donation history of the donor(s) chosen by you, and answer your questions to guide you through the process. We have all the adult photos available and are able to look in them in order to advise you if you would like to discuss your donor options with us.
* If you have no Local Consultant willing to guide you through the treatment with us, please visit us for an Initial Consultation, during which we will discuss your medical history and recommendations, your timing wishes and donor priorities, perform the necessary blood and other tests, create your individual treatment plan and provide you with access to the IDEAS Egg Donor Data Base (if you prefer to choose your donor yourself) or propose an egg donor to you (if you would like your O.L.G.A. Fertility Clinic doctor to choose a donor for you).
